The companies Ascendor and Dogsworld have jointly agreed on a regional school sponsorship with the Neufelden Secondary School. Over the next four years, we will be supporting three classes at the secondary school.
The purpose of a school sponsorship is to give young people an insight into the world of work and to support them in their career orientation. To this end, company tours, workshops, classroom presentations, job application training, apprentice interviews, joint projects and the participation of partner companies in school events will be organised. ‘Many students are unaware of the successful companies located in their immediate vicinity. These sponsorships make the business world tangible and accessible,’ says Michael Schaubmeier, head of the Rohrbach Chamber of Commerce.
Chamber of Commerce District Chairman Andreas Höllinger sees mutual benefits in the ‘School Meets Business’ project. On the one hand, it makes career opportunities and job possibilities visible to young people, and on the other hand, it brings companies into contact with young people at an early stage.
To mark the official launch of the cooperation, Doris Rothbauer, headmistress of the Neufelden Music Secondary School, and managing directors Erwin Roither (Ascendor) and Ralph Leitner (Dogsworld) signed sponsorship certificates. The artistic district carpenter's work was handed over to the school and the children were delighted to receive new T-shirts.
